In Halo5: Guardians there are many battles that need vehicles and vehicular combat is a common occurrence, and while playing the campaign you’ll encounter following vehicles. There are 3 types of vehicles – UNSC, Covenant and Forerunner.

Here is the list of all 3 types of vehicles that you can use in the battlefield and can destroy your enemies and help your allies.
UNSC Vehicles:
This faction has more ground vehicles than any other faction. Let’s take a look on them.
Mantis
- Primary Weapon: Machine gun
- Secondary Weapon: Missile launcher
- Number of Passengers: 1 (driver/operator)
This is the most powerful UNSC vehicle with regenerative shielding. This thing make it stronger to survive in extended operations. Mantis has machine gun that can deal with ground troops and a missile launcher that can destroy hard targets.
- Powerful UNSC vehicle with tracking missiles and regenerate shield
- Light armor and unable to direct fire once shields go down
Mongoose
- Primary Weapon: Twin grenade launchers (Gungoose variant only)
- Secondary Weapon: None
- Number of Passengers: 2 (driver, passenger)
This is a four wheeler vehicle that can carry two passengers, who can hop on the back. Your driver can also fire twin grenades at will and passenger can fire grenades and personal firearms too.
- Faster and lighter than Warthogs.
Pelican
- Primary Weapon: None
- Secondary Weapon: None
- Number of Passengers: Several (troop deployment)
These are fast, armored vehicles used to carry troops and vehicles into the battle.
- Armored troop transport.
- Can also deploy vehicles.
- Not designed for offensive maneuvers.
Scorpion Tank
- Primary Weapon: Cannon
- Secondary Weapon: Machine gun
- Number of Passengers: 6 (driver, gunner, up to four side passengers)
This is one of the best UNSC’s armored war machine which can carry six passengers. Its driver can fire unlimited number of shells and a teammate can accompany him by using the Machine Gun. And other four allies can fire their own weapons.
- UNSC vehicle, it has thick and durable armor plating and devastating cannon
- Slow and easy to hit.
- Up to 4 allies can ride on the sides of the tank.
Warthog
- Primary Weapon: Chaingun, Gauss, or Rocket Turret (type varies)
- Secondary Weapon: None
- Number of Passengers: 3 (driver, gunner, passenger)
These are military jeeps that are designed to transport troops on rough and dangerous terrain. Many of them carry a mounted turret that can be used by teammate. Another teammate can ride up next to driver and can use their own weapons. Warthogs are fast and maneuverable, but they won’t last long when pitted against superior firepower.
- Swift troop transports outfitted with powerful gun turrets.
- Lightly armored but sturdy enough to withstand brief spats of fire.
- Passengers can fire whatever weapons they happen to be carrying.
Covenant Vehicles:
Covenant Vehicles are good examples of land vehicles and combat aircraft. Let’s take a look on them thoroughly.
Banshee
- Primary Weapon: Plasma Cannon
- Secondary Weapon: Fuel Rod Cannon
- Number of Passengers: 1 (pilot)
These are formidable flying vehicles with twin Plasma Cannon Turrets and one Fuel Rod Cannon. Banshees have good damage but they have light armor and easily penetrated.
- New for Halo 5: Guardians, Banshees now feature regenerative shields similar to those of a Mantis.
- Fast and agile flier that can decimate ground troops with blasts from its Fuel Rod Cannon.
- Can perform evasive maneuvers to avoid inbound fire and cut down enemy aircraft with fast-firing guns.
Ghost
- Primary Weapon: Plasma Cannon (x2)
- Secondary Weapon: None
- Number of Passengers: 1 (driver)
These are swift Covenant vehicles with two Plasma Cannons, they have light armor and no regenerative shields. They have good speed and can dodge the inbound fire.
- Swift land vehicles with superior maneuverability
- Twin Plasma Cannons can easily take down enemy infantry
- Driver is exposed and can be neutralized with minimal harm to the vehicle
Phantom
- Primary Weapon: Plasma Artillery
- Secondary Weapon: Plasma Cannon
- Number of Passengers: Several (troop deployment)
These vehicles are like workhorses. They can deploy troops from one place to another during combat and also stop the enemy advancing with the help of their Plasma Cannon Turrets. Phantoms have better armor than Banshees, helping them survive through intense combat situations.
- Heavily armored fliers designed to deploy Covenant troops and vehicles to hotspots in battle
- Powerful cannons that bombard enemy troops and vehicles
- Occupants are exposed and can be fired upon prior to deployment
Spirit
- Primary Weapon: Plasma Artillery
- Secondary Weapon: Plasma Cannon
- Number of Passengers: Several (troop deployment)
Spirits are designed to deploy large number of troops to key regions of battlefield. Their thick armor and swift fly speed make the deployment safe.
- Giant troop transport designed to deploy large numbers of Covenant forces to key regions on a battlefield.
- Outfitted with powerful cannons that bombard enemy troops and vehicles, keeping them at bay while deployments are performed.
- Occupants are kept safe behind blast shields and cannot be fired upon prior to deployment.
Wraith
- Primary Weapon: Plasma Mortar
- Secondary Weapon: Plasma Cannon
- Number of Passengers: 2 (driver, gunner)
These are the most powerful ground vehicles of Covenant. Wraiths have heavy armor and powerful cannon that delivers devastating plasma mortars to targets clear across a battlefield.
- Heavily armored tank equipped with a mighty Plasma Mortar.
- Can accommodate a gunner who mans a Plasma Cannon turret.
- Can boost forward to close on enemies or quickly reach key positions on a battlefield.
Forerunner Vehicles:
Forerunners have only one vehicle but it dominates land and air. Let’s take a look on it.
Phaeton
- Primary Weapon: Full-auto guns
- Secondary Weapon: Tracking missiles
- Number of Passengers: 1 (pilot)
These are the fast vehicles to dominate land and sky. It has 2 weapon systems, primary guns that can shred lighter targets and tracking missiles which are quite powerful and will track elusive prey.
- Heavily armored
- Equipped with full auto guns and explosive tracking missiles
- Features no shields but can perform swift evasive thrusts in any direction
