Xenoblade Chronicles X – How to Beat “Skell License Exam” Guide

After completing chapter 6 you can speak to Vandham to apply for a license to train your own Skell. This is not an easy task and you need to complete 8 missions from every single division of BLADE. After complete all these mission you will be rewarded with Skell.

Pathfinders Proficiency Exam 1

Objective:

• Install a data probe at FrontierNav Site 117 in Primordia.

Site 117 is located in northeast from new LA. In order to plant this data probe, you need level 1 Mechanical field skill.

Interceptors Proficiency Exam 2

Objective:

• Defeat 12 blitz blattas in Noctilum.

You can see the blitz blattas location in Noctilum on the mini map. Follow the map to complete the task.

Harriers Proficiency Exam 3

Objective:

• Defeat Shatskikh (rare), the Flash in Primordia’s Northpointe Cove.

Follow the mini map and wait for Shatskikh. He is level 25 tyrant so don’t take him easy. If he is not there then fast travel to a nearby location and repeat until it spawns.

Reclaimers Proficiency Exam 4

Objective:

• Obtain the solar starship map in Noctilum’s Humdrum Peaks

Follow the mini map and Ball to get this task done.

Curators Proficiency Exam 5

Objectives:

• Gather eight rock armadillos in Noctilum
• Gather three beagflea squashes in Oblivia
• Gather six multi-speckled ladybugs in Primordia

You can get Beagflea squash by fast travelling to the Dorian Caravan, then collect a handful there. After that travel to places where you other required items are. Remember map is your biggest friend here.

Prospectors Proficiency Exam 6

Objective:

• Use FrontierNav to earn over 15,000 credits in a single return

In order to get this job done you need to plant probes and to optimally place research probes.

Outfitters Proficiency Exam 7

Objectives:

Get the examination weapon from Tauler on Division Drive in the Administrative District. You only need to complete one task.

• Defeat three giant grexes in Primordia with a Trial Knife.
• Defeat three giant grexes in Primordia with a Trial Assault Rifle
• Defeat three giant grexes in Primordia with a Trial Sword

You can find Tauler around the corner from arms manufacturers’ terminal. Collect all three weapons from him. Grab them and equip the weapon of your choice to kill some grex. You can find them along Biahno Hills and Biahno River, among other places.

Mediators Proficiency Exam 8

Objectives:

You need to complete only 1 task.

• Complete “The Handy Ma-non.”
• Complete “The Pip-Squeak.”
• Complete “That’s In-Credible!”

You can check new LA for any of these objectives. Scan the objectives and pick the one you feel most confident doing, then get it done.

After completing all the tests, speak to Walter in the Hangar in the Administrative District and enjoy your new Skell.
