Palace of Apries: In Plain Sight
Papyrus Territory: Memphis
On an island southeast of Krokodilopolis, there is a river with unnatural color. Nearby you’ll see the cause, and I’ll be inside the only one that’s unique.

Papyrus Location
On the far north side of Memphis, the enormous Palace of Apries sits atop the steps. Make your way to the back of the palace, being sure not to cause any trouble with the guards. Enter the small, luxurious room that is surrounded by lion-headed goddess statues. Climb onto the scroll shelves to find the papyrus.
Treasure Location
Travel to Krokodilopolis and head to the southeastern island. Find the red and orange splotches in the river that indicates you are at the right place. Workers are busy dying clothes various colors. Look for the rectangular, orange dye and step inside to find your reward.
Sarapeion: The Stone Gaze
Papyrus Territory: Alexandria
In the south section of Mareotis Lake there is an island full of ruins. A man stares at me all day; it’s quite a bother, so I’m hiding behind a column that blocks his sight.

Papyrus Location
In southeastern Alexandria, find the huge Sarapeion temple and climb the steps to get inside. Guards are on duty, but as long as you do not provoke them, they will leave you alone. Enter the small room near the southwest corner.
Treasure Location
Travel to the Temple of Sekhmet in Lake Mareotis and swim or take a felucca out to the Lost Crypt island, east of the village. On the ruins’ south side, find the partial column and collect the nearby reward.
Sarapeion of Karanis: The Leaning Tower
Papyrus Territory: Faiyum
In Faiyum, north of Dionysias Caravanserai, there is a tower with a hole by its feet. It’s in need of support, so I sit behind it, but the wooden beams seem more helpful.

Papyrus Location
Travel to the village of Karanis in northeast Faiyum and enter the Sarapeion of Karanis temple. Once inside, climb one of the statues on the left to reach the balcony. Find the papyrus in the back room.
Treasure Location
From Dionysias village, head northwest until you find a lookout tower, north of the Dionysias Caravanserai military installation. Lying on the ground on the tower’s north side is the reward.
Tomb of Alexander the Great: Ray of Hope
Papyrus Territory: Alexandria
In the Qattara Depression there is only one place that isn’t dry and sad. At dawn’s first light there is one tree near the valley’s entrance whose roots are halfway between Ra’s glory and Apophi’s shadow. Find me there but make haste, for Ra moves quickly.

Papyrus Location
On the northeast side of Alexandria city, find the entrance to the tomb of Alexander the Great on the main east-west road, just east of the theater—look for the open metal gate. At the statue, turn right and enter the structure to find a statue of Alexander. Climb one of the pillars to enter the enclosed area on the roof and collect the Papyrus that sits at the base of one of the statues.
Treasure Location
In the Qattara Depression, on the desert’s west side, a hermit location is located at the only source of water in the territory. A narrow valley leads down to the water from the north. At the entrance to this valley, stop at the first tree in the middle of the path. The treasure lies at its trunk.
Tomb of Battos: Underground Currents
Papyrus Territory: Kyrenaika
South of Cyrene, in the Green Mountains, there is a lake whose water comes from a magical stream. I’ll be at the source of that magic, where water flows from nothing.

Papyrus Location
Spot the circular temple on the southeast side of Cyrene, between the Roman Akropolis and the gladiator arena. Scale the outside of the temple to the top and then climb through the hole in the ceiling—using one of the pillars for a safe descent. The papyrus sits on the table just right of the statues.
Treasure Location
Travel directly south from Cyrene into the Green Mountains and spot the Collis Roman Hunting Camp that sits in the middle of a lake near the top of the northern mountain. Avoid the lionesses that inhabit the nearby ruins and the soldiers at the camp. Follow the stream west up the mountain until you reach the end. Collect the treasure that lies in the water.
Temple of Horus: Sea of Sand
Papyrus Territory: Sapi-Res Nome
In the southeast of Iment Nome lies a broken ship. If you meditate till morning, an X will mark my hiding spot.

Papyrus Location
Travel to Letopolis in southern Sapi-Res Nome and find the Temple of Horus on the southeast side. Step inside and move to the back of the area. The papyrus lies on the ground just beside the farthest Horus statue.
Treasure Location
To find the ship, locate the world portal in the southeast corner of Iment Nome. Use the Dawn & Dusk ability to change nighttime into day. Now quickly follow the shadow of the ship’s mast, before the sun moves too much, to find the treasure where the mast crosses the torn sail.
Temple of Khonsou: Twin Despair
Papyrus Territory: Herakleion Nome
In Herakleion Nome, east of the Temple of Khonsou, is a village that is more water than land. Behind two houses with different problems, one whose feet are always wet and the other who can’t cover his head, you can find me sitting under a tree.

Papyrus Location
Go to the village of Herakleion, located near the middle of the nome, and approach the big Temple of Khonsou on the town’s northern side. Enter the popular temple through the opening on the south side. Against the back wall of the first room, search the desk to find the papyrus scroll.
Treasure Location
Travel east from the Temple of Khonsou to the small village of Yw Huts. Find the small island on the village’s north side that holds a dilapidated home full of hay and a flooded hut. Just behind the former, a tree grows out of the water. Collect the treasure underneath.
Temple of Ptah: Fallen Friend
Papyrus Territory: Memphis
Two men stand guard on the Memphis eastern canal. The south one looks solemnly at his sunken friend. If you follow his gaze, you can find him and me on the river floor.

Papyrus Location
Just west of the biggest structure in Memphis, located in the middle of the city, the Temple of Ptah sits atop a hill. There are numerous ways to get inside the temple, even a hidden entrance on the northwest side—just follow the small stream of water, climb the right rock wall, and continue along the path until you emerge from a big well. From here, climb over the south wall and search under the canopy for the scroll.
Treasure Location
Go east from the temple until you reach the eastern shores and find the central canal as it enters the city, where a statue stands guard on each side of the water. Run east from the southern statue until you reach the water. Jump in and dive to the bottom and continue east until you find the head and body of another statue. Collect the treasure that sits on it.
