Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that, “On Just Dance, we will continue to bring old-gen console versions, But on the other products like Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six, The Division and the unannounced franchise, we will not have old-gen versions.” He said this during an earnings briefing this afternoon.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Rainbow Six: Siege will be release at the fall of this year, for PS4, XBox One and PC, on the other hand The Division will release in early of next year, 2016. While unannounced game which Guillemot interestingly referred to as a “franchise” will launch in April next year.
Last year, Assassin’s Creed Unity was released for PS4, Xbox One and PC, while for the last-gen consoles UBISOFT released Assassin’s Creed Rogue.
It is due to PS4 / Xbox One made up 52 % of all sales, a massive swing from the year prior when those platforms made up just 15 percent of total sales, according to the company’s most recent fiscal year ended March 31.
