Nvidia Framerate Issue Fix

To fix FPS issue on Nvidia Graphic Card, try to change these setting from Nvidia Control Panel,

  • Go to nvidia control panel and add the DarkSouls3.exe
  • Set to adaptive vsync and turn on triple buffering
  • Set maximum prerendered frames to “1”
  • Turn on threaded optimization

Not Enough Memory

Generally, you need double the amount of disk space needed for the game to decrypt and whatnot.

Secondly, it could be a bug, try to run Disk Scan and Optimize your drive to make it work.

Game Crash Randomly (Crash at Start and First Bonfire)

Many users are facing this issue, for some game crash at the start right after first logo and for some, game crash at first bonfire. To fix this issue you should try:

  • Try to upgrade your PC drivers (Graphic Card, Sound Card, DX and also Motherboard chipset)
  • If the game crash at first bonfire, you should change game graphic setting to “Low”, this help some players to get pass through it.
  • Turning lighting to low seems to help with this crash

Also there will be a patch for some issues, wait for it if you still facing this issue.

Can’t Summon Phantom

Try to summon someone it says unable to summon phantom.

That’s because someone else got that phantom before you. Just get near a boss door and spam as many summons as you can. You will eventually get one.

How to Connect To Friends

If you can’t connect with your friend in the game in multiplayer mode, try these steps:

  • First you need an item called “Ember” in-game.
  • And in addition to that you need “Password Matching”, for that, go to your system and go to Network settings in-game.
  • Turn Matchmaking “ON”
  • Make a unique password (Make sure both of you have same password)
  • Now go to the shrine and use Ember to summon your friend.

Can’t Move/Attack after Character Creation

Try to install the game to a different folder, outside of steam folder or on different drive altogether and then run the game, this will fix this issue, hopefully.

PS4 Controller Fix

  • Go to this Link and download file whatever matches your system
  • Extract the x360ce in the game file (It would be something like SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DARK SOULS III\Game) where the DarkSoulsIII.exe is
  • Run it and then click next on search automatically for sittings and finish (it might show u an error but it will have an option to create a file in it)
  • Run the game and it should work
