Fallout 4 Can’t Unpack Files Issue:
Clear your computers cache after a computer restart. Once you’ve cleared your cache of all un-needed material move on to restarting up your steam. (Don’t start it before you’ve gotten all that done first. It may try to update, just let it.)
Or you can try this:
- Use any vpn and set it to Canada or UK
- Open Steam and it’ll show that you can do the preload unpack thing
- Do the unpack thing for a few secs
- Exit steam and turn off the vpn
- Start steam again and continue with the unpacking
- Enjoy the game
Fix Mouse X/Y Axis issue.
- Go to “C:\Users\(USERNAME)\Documents\My Games\Fallout4”
- Open Fallout4.ini
- Mouse X/Y axis fix
- Locate and change:
“fMouseHeadingYScale=.021” into “fMouseHeadingYScale=.042”
It can be found under the [controls] sub-sectrion.
I found out that setting the Y sensitivity to twice the amount of the X axis made it feel normal. No more extra X axis sensitivity
Changing FOV
In the same file, locate and change the following settings to adjust the desired FOV.
[Display] fDefaultWorldFOV=70fDefault1stPersonFOV=80
fDefaultWorldFOV refers to the user’s overall Field of View, whereas fDefault1stPersonFOV refers to the user’s viewmodel (weapon).
No Voice / Lip Movement
Try to load another or previous save game, it helps some players.
How to change ADS sensitivity
To change your sensitivity when you are aiming down sites in game (ads) firstly open Falout4Prefs.ini (loacted at C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\) and under [Main] put the below:
fIronSightsFOVRotateMult=X.XX
where X.XX is you’re desired sensitivity when aiming down sights.
If you are playing in 16:9 the value you want to put for XX.XX is: 2.136363636
I have not yet confirmed that this is the rate number for other aspect ratios.
How to add 4:3 Support

Currently the hud will stretch, another person is likely to soon to release a fix for the hud. If you are finding your image has this odd dark rectangle bug in your Fallout4Pref.ini file change:
bComputeShaderDeferredTiledLighting=1 to bComputeShaderDeferredTiledLighting=0
Skip intro Video
To skip the intro every time you laod up Fallout 4, simply got to where you have steam installed, go to steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Video and delete the below file:
GameIntro_V3_B.bk2
OR
First go to C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\ and open up Fallout4.ini and under [General] add:

How to Unlock Console
Some users have reported that be default there console doesn’t work (i.e. pressing ~ does nothing). If it works for you the below isn’t necessary. To solve this issue simply in windows go to control panel, then go to languages and set your keyboard layout to US.
