Far Cry Primal – Food, Animal Skins, Weapons and Village Resources Guide

In Far Cry Primal you need Resources to craft weapons and Gears, Building your village and Upgreading our items. You can find these resources all around the Oros. But there are some rare resources like crafting material and Animal Skins that you can’t find easily. Rare versions, available with several resources, are found at a much lower rate. Enable Hunter Vision to highlight resources in yellow color.

You can carry limited amount of each resource. Upgrade your bags to hold more. Inside your cave and at various locations in Oros, such as campfires, you can access your Reward Stash. Below we have list all resource that you need through journey in Oros, with the location and use of it.

Food Items:

Meat and leaves are used in the Food Recipes. Keep these items stocked up as much as possible. List of all food items are given below:

Meat

• Location: Found on almost all animals.
• Use: Craft the Basic Healing recipe in the Food menu, heal your tamed beasts, and craft bait in the Weapon Wheel.

Green Leaf

• Location: All across Oros
• Use: Craft the Rugged Healing and Full Health recipes

Violet Leaf

• Location: All across Oros
• Use: Craft the Scent Camouflage recipe

Blue Leaf

• Location: All across Oros
• Use: Craft the Speed Boost recipe

South Purple Leaf

• Location: Southern region of Oros
• Use: Craft the Fireproof recipe

North Yellow Leaf

• Location: Northern region of Oros
• Use: Craft the berserk shard and berserk bomb in the Weapon Wheel.

Rare North Yellow Leaf

• Location: Complete “Into Udam Land” mission to unlock this resource. Small chance to receive it when collecting North Yellow Leaves
• Use: Craft the Antidote recipe

Red Leaf

• Location: All across Oros
• Use: Revive beasts in the Beasts menu, and craft Ultimate Boost recipe

Rare Plant Root

• Location: Small chance to receive it when collecting any plant
• Use: Craft the Ultimate Boost recipe

Animal Skins:

After killing any animal in Oros, hold Interact button to skin it. Doing this will gives you animal hide, meat and fat, which you can use in crafting and upgrading your items. And if you want to upgrade hut, you need 2 rare skins which has really low chance to find it.

Also complete “Wogah’s Claw” mission to unlock Rare Feathers when collecting feathers from any bird. Below we have list all animal skins with their locations, where you can find these animals and also the usage of them.

Goat Skin

• Location: Goats are found all across Oros
• Use: Build village huts; upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Deer Skin

• Location: Deer are found all across Oros
• Use: Build village huts; upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Rare White Deer Skin

• Location: White Deer can be spotted sometimes among other Deer
• Use: Build huts.

Wolf Skin

• Location: Wolves are found all across Oros
• Use: Build village huts; upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Rare White Wolf Skin

• Location: White Wolves can be spotted sometimes among other Wolves
• Use: Upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Rare Stripe Wolf Skin

• Location: Stripe Wolves can be spotted sometimes among other Wolves
• Use: Build village huts.

Dhole Skin

• Location: Dholes are found in the western region of Oros
• Use: Upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Rare Black Dhole Skin

• Location: Black Dholes can be spotted sometimes among other dholes
• Use: Build village huts; upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Brown Bear Skin

• Location: Brown Bears are found all across Oros
• Use: Build village huts; upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Cave Bear Skin

• Location: Cave Bears are found in the Northern region of Oros
• Use: Upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Sabretooth Tiger Skin

• Sabretooth Tigers are found all across Oros
• Use: Upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Cave Lion Skin

• Location: Cave Lions are found all across Oros
• Use: Upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Rare Black Lion Skin

• Location: Black Lions can be spotted sometimes among other Cave Lions
• Use: Build village huts.

Tapir Skin

• Location: Tapirs are found all across Oros, only at night
• Use: Upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Tall Elk Skin

• Location: Tall Elk are found all across Oros
• Use: Upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Rare Red Elk Skin

• Location: Red Elk can be spotted sometimes among other tall Elk.
• Use: Build village huts.

Yak Skin

• Location: Yaks are found in the Northern region of Oros
• Use: Upgrade the Guts Bag in the Crafting menu.

Rare White Yak Skin

• Location: White Yaks can be spotted sometimes among other Yaks
• Use: Upgrade Winter Clothing in the Crafting menu.

Boar Skin

• Location: Boars are found in the Western region of Oros
• Use: Upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Badger Skin

• Location: Badgers are found between the western and southern forests of Oros
• Use: Build village huts; upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Jaguar Skin

• Location: Jaguars are found in the western and southern regions of Oros
• Use: Build village huts; upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Rare Black Jaguar Skin

• Location: Black Jaguars can be spotted sometimes among other Jaguars
• Use: Upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Leopard Skin

• Location: Leopards are found in the northern region of Oros

Mammoth Skin

• Location: Mammoths are found all across Oros

Woolly Rhino Skin

• Location: Rhinos are found in the Southern region of Oros
• Use: Upgrade the Spear Belt in the Crafting menu.

Rare Two Horn Rhino Skin

• Location: Two Horn Rhinos can be spotted sometimes among other Woolly Rhinos
• Use: Build Huts.

Monkey Skin

• Location: Monkeys are found in the southern region of Oros
• Use: Upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Bitefish Skin

• Location: Bitefish are found in water all across Oros
• Use: Upgrade items in the Crafting menu.

Rare Red Bitefish Skin

• Location: Red Bitefish can be spotted sometimes among other bitefish

• Location: All across Oros, on any bird
