While playing Far Cry Primal, you need to be careful about the animals around you. They can appear in no time and attack you. But there are numerous ways to lower the threat. Take a beast with you to protect you, use a scent camouflage or tame a Badger to scare the creature away.
You can check the health and damage ratings of animals below which are found in Oros. If you skin the animal, they will provide skin, meat, fat and animal hide, which can be used in crafting and upgrading.

How to Tame a Beast:
Some beats can be added to your beast roaster with a piece of bait. Toss the bait nearby and wait for animal’s interest towards it. Then press the interact button to tame it. If a beast is killed you can heal it with a piece of meat before the time runs out. Otherwise you will have to revive it from the Beast menu with a certain number of Red Leaves.
Call Beast:
Open the Beast Menu by pressing the right on D – Pad. Highlight a beast then confirm to call it.
Revive:
If your beast dies, open up the Beast Menu, highlight the beast and then confirm on its picture to revive it. But you will to pay the cost for reviving so pay attention to your supplies always.
Command and Recall Beast:
You can send the beast to enemy or your desired location by holding the aim button and then press Throwable button. Hold right on the D – Pad to recall your beast back to you.

Canines
You need “Tame Canines” skill to tame all types of Canines. Here they are:
Dhole

- Uncovers and gives you nearby resources when you stand idle.
Sabretooth Tiger

- The fastest predator in Oros
Cunning Beasts
You need “Tame Cunning Beasts” skill to tame all types of Cunning Beasts. Here they are:
Badger

- A fearless beast that can revive itself from death once
Passive Ability 2:
- Terrifies all wildlife in Oros
Location:
- The Badger, found between the western and southern forests of Oros, is extremely handy as a companion.
Cave Bear

- Revive Cost: Red Leaf x4
Passive Ability:
- Draws enemy attacks in battle.
Location:
- Cave Bears are mostly found to the north, but do make appearances elsewhere.

- Very fast predator
How to Get:
- To get the Bloodfang Sabretooth, you must hunt it down in the Beast Master Hunt quest.
Great Scar Bear
- Strength: 5
- Speed: 3
- Stealth: 2
- Revive Cost: Red Leaf x5
Passive Ability:
- Draws enemy attacks in battle
How to Get:
The Great Scar Bear must be defeated as part of the Beast Master Hunts before gaining access to the beast.
