#5: Shooting Gallery
Speed and accuracy are the key points to get five gears in each shooting gallery. Aim for the bullseyes without hitting blue “X”s or missing to keep your multiplier up. When you play the shooting gallery for the first time, you don’t have Precision Aim Weapon Mod. It needs three gears to unlock.
Machine Gun
Always aim for the center pf the target. Keep firing your gun as often as possible, but be prepared for the target to disappear when it reaches the end of its path. Missing the targets resets your multiplier, so stop shooting before the target drops out of sight. Use short and simple bursts because missing shots will reset your multiplier.
Shotgun
Accuracy is not much important here. You just need to hit as many targets as you can. Aim for the center of all the targets you’re trying to hit, then fire while taking a step to the left or right. If you take a step then you can hit large number of targets for a higher bonus.
Handgun
The Handgun Challenge pits you against mostly moving targets with plenty of the blue “X” targets tossed in to make things interesting. A large group of targets are turned around at the far side of the range. Watch them carefully as they are the key to achieve five gear rating.
After half challenge done, three of the back targets flip around. Work to take them out quickly, then shoot the targets that come across the middle. There’s a green bullseye target right in the center of the bottom row of the back targets. Shooting it unlocks even more stationary targets to hit. Avoid hitting any of the blue “X” targets while aiming for the back set of targets.
Revolver
After getting hit, targets disappear so always aim for the bullseye. Be careful about the Blue X targets. These not only reset your multiplier, they also subtract 100 points from your total. There are two stationary targets appear in the back of the room. As you shoot each target, a new set branches off of each of the boxes. Once you’ve cleared all of the targets, a row of targets with a special green bullseye appears. Green bullseye targets rewards much more points. So shoot them perfectly.
Burst
In this challenge, pulling the trigger fires four shots. All three shots hit almost on top of each other, but it’s still a good idea to aim low in the center of the bullseye to guarantee all shots grant maximum points. Don’t move to the next target too quickly. Missing a single shot of the burst resets your multiplier.
As your multiplier increases, keep an eye on the green bullseye. Hitting all four shots with full multiplier on the green bullseyes grants 6000 points, making a five-gear rating pretty manageable. Targets fall over after the fourth shot of the burst hits, so pull the trigger only once on each target. Completing a set of targets quickly sometimes causes an extra green bullseye target to appear. These are not necessary for a five-gear rating, but are great for setting high scores.
#6: Destruction Frenzy
In this challenge you can get points by destroying anything. Explosions can be linked together to maximize the number of points given via a multiplier that can grow up to eight times. Do not take too much time in explosions because it divides your multiplier by half until it reaches back to 1. When you set off the first explosion, the timer starts. Search the area and set few explosions. Explode smaller objects first to build your combo meter, then go for the big stuff. You can use any vehicle of your choice to reach the goal.
Sniper Rifle Frenzy
Spend some time dealing small amounts of damage to all of the objects in the area. It will raise your multiplier so you don’t need to take multiple shots once the first explosion happens. Once you’ve eliminated all other objects, use your grenades or tethers to take the remaining stuff down.
Jet Frenzy
Before getting in the jet, take a look for small and large group of items. Target the small groups of items first, then turn around and bomb the larger ones.
Helicopter Frenzy
You need to plan your attack for this challenge because you are in sky with bullets and rockets. Some targets may be hidden behind small buildings or inside large warehouses. Make a mental note of this while planning your attack. If you have only mini guns in your helicopter then fire a few bursts on larger objects to raise your multiplier.
Grapple Frenzy
Like other frenzies, start out by setting up a few explosions with your tethers. Connect explosive barrels to the power supplies around the compound, saving your grenades for the fuel tanks. This challenge becomes much easier if you have unlocked 3x grapples by completing a few Scrapyard Scrambles. After you’ve set off you initial explosions, take down anything left in sight by either grappling the object to the ground, wall, or any explosive in the area.
To speed things up, press and hold L2/LT while you attach the tethers. If you don’t have Tether Strength upgrades, you may need to attach two tethers to an object to bring it down.
