How to Get: The very first mask that Link finds, the Deku Mask lets Link take the form of a little Deku Scrub at will. The mask salesman gives Link the Deku Mask after the lad reclaims the Ocarina of Time from the Skull Kid. Use the Deku Mask to assume Deku Link form, which is handy whenever you need to use a Deku Flower or hop across water.
#8: Don Gero’s Mask
How to Get: You will get this mask while exploring Termina’s frigid mountains. There you can see a hungry Goron that’s stuck on a ledge. Give this Goron a hunk of rock sirloin and he will give you Don Gero’s Mask which he was wearing along Goron Elder’s son with Goron Lullaby.
#9: Garo’s Mask
How to Get: To get this mask you need to defeat Gorman Bros to a race around their track. You can find them along Milk Road. Once you are reunited with Epona, challenge Gorman Brothers to a race. Speak to them from horseback, and start the race. Dodge obstacles and use Epona’s sprints to win the race, and you will rewarded with Garo’s Mask.
You need the Garo’s Mask to reach Ikana Canyon, making it a Mandatory Mask. Wear it, and speak to the Garo atop the high cliff at Ikana Road’s east end. He’ll recognize the mask and create a tree that can Hook shot you to reach Ikana Canyon.
#10: Giant’s Mask
How to Get: You can get this mask during the boss battle against Twinmold, get Giant’s Mask during the boss battle, and then use it to grow Link into a giant. You can’t use sword and shield, but his devastating blows he can beat the boss easily. Grab Twinmold’s tail each time you knock it down, and Giant Link will send it for a spin.
#11: Gibdo Mask
How to Get: During his explorations of Ikana Canyon, you will find Spring Water Cave. Go inside the cave and play the Song of Storms to break Sharp’s curse and start the water flowing down to the Music Box House. And enter the house without letting the little girl near the river see you. Once inside house, go downstairs and play Song of Healing to break the little girl’s father’s curse and you will get the Gibdo Mask.
Gibdo Mask let you talk to Gibdos and causes nearby ReDeads to start dancing. The Gibdo Mask helps Link explore Ikana’s underground ruin and discover the Mirror Shield.
#12: Goron Mask
How to Get: You will find this mask while struggling to save the Gorons in Termina’s frozen mountain. It is one of the three vital transformation masks that the lad must find. While wearing this mask, Link transforms into a burly Goron that can roll up slopes and batter enemies with mighty blows.
#13: Great Fairy’s Mask
How to Get: To get this mask, when you restores the Great Fairy who lives in Clock Town, you will be in Deku form (Wearing Deku Mask) and be gifted the use of magic power. Restore Clock Town’s Great Fairy again without mask and you will receive Great Fairy’s Mask.
Great Fairy’s Mask mask is useful while finding and rescuing number of Stray Fairies. Put on the Great Fairy’s Mask to attract nearby Stray Fairies. Find all of the Stray Fairies in temple, then bring them back to the region’s Fairy’s Fountain and restore the local Great Fairy to get a worthy reward.
#14: Kafei’s Mask
How to Get: In East Clock Town, visit Mayor’s Official Residence, and speak with woman in yellow. She takes you for an investigator that she hired to find her missing son. Agree to help woman, and you will get Kafei’s Mask.
#15: Kamaro’s Mask
How to Get: At midnight, a dancing spirit appears atop one of the big rock formations in Termina’s northern snowfield. Carefully walk along the top of the wall north of town, and look for the spirit. Speak with spirit and play Song of Healing to obtain Kamaro’s Mask. Wear this mask in front of dancers in West Clock Town. Dance for them to teach them some new moves and receive a Piece of Heart.
