#10: Dead Island 2
Dead Island 2 is an upcoming action role-playing survival horror video game developed by Sumo Digital and published by Deep Silver for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It is the sequel to 2011 video game Dead Island and the third major installment in the Dead Island series. The game’s main storyline is set several months after the events of Dead Island and Escape Dead Island. Unlike its predecessors, which took place on islands as the titles state, Dead Island 2 takes place in various locations in California.
A couple of months after the events of Dead Island, the United States Armed Forces has put California under a full quarantine restricted zone due to a new zombie outbreak. Dead Island 2 features an open world. The game takes place in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and an undisclosed third location in California, unlike the first game which was set on the island of Banoi off the coast of Papua New Guinea. The game’s combat has different mechanics than its predecessors. Dead Island 2 also includes several features from its predecessors, such as the Rage and crafting systems.

The game takes place two years after a global pandemic occurred which killed almost all of humanity, and transformed millions of others into “Freakers”, mindless zombie-like creatures that are quickly evolving. In the E3 2016 stage demo of the game, two types of “Freakers” were revealed, Newts and Hordes.

Daymare: 1998 is a third person survival horror game. In the late 90s, a terrorist attack transforms the unaware citizens of a little community of northwest America into violent and deformed creatures. You are expected to survive to this waking nightmare that has its roots in a nostalgic mood.
The narration is full of direct references to the pop culture of the 90’s and the modern gameplay mechanics fit perfectly with the old school survival horror atmosphere.

World War Z is a four-player cooperative game inspired by Paramount Pictures’ blockbuster film franchise.
World War Z’s co-op campaign focuses on unique survivor stories and missions around the globe, including New York, Moscow and Jerusalem. Use traps, barriers and the environment strategically to stay alive while unleashing a storm of firepower with a variety of weapons on the unrelenting hordes of the undead.
