Here is the list of all Game Modes, that you can play in Multiplayer in COD: Black Ops III.
Deathmatch Modes:
This is full of action pure combat mode. Just kill every hostile at sight and stay alive is the key to success in Deathmatch mode. FFA matches are quick and intense, with hotspots of combat erupting around the map as players home in on any sounds of battle. In Deathmatches, stealthy builds are very effective and choosing a part of the map works very good. Don’t go to the center of the map with a lot of line of sight, because you will be an easy target there.
Team Deathmatch
In TDM, you need a lot of teamwork to secure victory. It is a classic team combat where you need to maintain a positive kill/death ratio to win the match. Keep an eye on the radar and stick with your team. If you’re isolated from your team, it’s very possible to have multiple enemies respawn nearby—stay alert if you’re away from your team. In TDM, staying alive is more important than scoring kills.
Kill Confirmed
It is also another type of team deathmatch where you collect enemy dogtags to score for your team. Its gameplay is just like TDM, but when a player dies in KC he drops a dogtag. You just need to collect those dogtags to score more for your team. Pick up enemy tags to ‘confirm’ the kill, giving bonus score. Pick up friendly tags to ‘deny’ the kill, saving some of the lost score. CQC builds have a slight edge over long range builds that hang back. Playing a fast and aggressive close range build with a Shotgun or SMG can rack up a lot of points in typical KC matches.
Control Modes:
It is an objective play, you need to secure targets and hold them to earn a victory.
Domination
It is classic Call of Duty mode, where you need to capture three zones. Your team will earn points while controlling a zone. The more zones your team controls the more points they score. If you plan on regularly going for captures, bring defensive loadouts with Flak Jacket, Smoke grenades, Trophy Systems, defensive scorestreaks, and the like.
On the other hand, if you plan to clear points, bring an abundance of explosives or strong long range weaponry to clear off enemies and secure the area.
Hardpoint
This mood places a control zone on the map that can be claimed by having a friendly player inside the zone with no enemies present. If a friendly and an enemy are inside, the zone is contested, and neither team scores until it is cleared. The Hardpoint keeps rotating so you need to move fast after securing one point. Then rush to another to score more.
Bomb Modes:
Bomb Modes test your team’s coordination.
Demolition
In the Demolition mode, teams are split up in Offense and Defense, with the offense striving to detonate the bomb sites and the defense out to stop them. There are two bomb sites that must be destroyed by planting a bomb and holding the site until it detonates. On the Offense side, every player has bomb so anyone can plant it.
Search & Destroy
Search and Destroy is very classic game mode with no respawn in round. One player carries the bomb and if the other defuse it they get victory in no time. Also you can eliminate all enemy team players to win the round. It is common to use a plant as bait to draw out any remaining defenders, and also effective to have one or more players make a lot of noise at one site while the bomber sneaks a plant at the other site.
Objective Modes:
Specific tasks must be completed to achieve victory.
Safeguard
It is completely a new mode which is introduced in Call of Duty Black OPS 3. Safeguard challenges each team in turn to escort a friendly robot as it marches toward the enemy base. This robot can be destroyed temporarily, halting its progress but it continues to marching to its destinations after short delay. Robot follows the fixed path so learn it routes and set up defenses on favorable terrain when playing defense. On the other hand, on offense, knowing where defenders are likely to be lurking and setting out to flank them before they can get entrenched is vital.
Uplink
In this mode you need to throw or carry the satellite Drone to Uplink station. This mode was introduced in advanced warfare. It challenges both teams to acquire the single satellite drone from the center of the map, and then pass or run the drone to the enemy Uplink Station to score. The player who carries the drone have increased armor and extremely lethal melee attack.
Capture the Flag
In Capture the Flag, you need to get the enemy flag and return it to yours in order to capture it. Both teams have a flag that must be defended and an enemy flag that must be captured. You can score only if your own flag is at base, so if both flags are taken, neither team can score until a carrier is defeated. It needs teamwork to capture the flag. Speedy and stealth builds are recommended for offense and defensive builds are for the team which is defending.
