Pillars of Eternity: Act I – All Tasks Guide

Tasks are another optional quest or you can say some more side quests that you can complete in Pillars of Eternity, if you are planning to complete the game 100%. Also these optional tasks will give you more XP and cool items as rewards.

There are total 3 tasks in Act-I of Pillars of Eternity, below you will find all of these with the complete guide and detail of options with which you can complete them.

Tasks:

  • Act III – All Tasks Guide

Task #1: Late for Dinner

  • Task Giver: Tenfrith in Valewood OR Hilde, The Innkeeper in Gilded Vale’s Black Hound Inn
  • Location: Valewood or Gilded Vale

To get this task, go to the The Black Hound Inn in Gilded Vale and talk to the Hilde – The Innkeeper, during the conversation, she mentions that Inn’s cook has disappear and Tenfrith might have come to harm on the road through the Valewood and is seeking aid in seeing the chef safely returned.

New Objective: Speak with the innkeeper at the Black Hound Inn

Now go to the Valewood and head northeast to small bandit camp. Kill the enemies there and talk to Tenfrith and he gladly returns to Gilded Vale. Here your task will update.

Enw Objective: Speak with the innkeeper at the Black Hound Inn

Now go back to The Black Hound Inn in Gilded Vale and talk to the Hilde – The Innkeeper to complete the task.

Task #2: Vengeance from the Grave

  • Task Giver: Perly (Ghost)
  • Location: Valewood (Bear Cave)

In Valewood, you can come across on a small cave, which is on the top of the map, little bit to the left side of map. Go inside the cave, you see a half-eaten corpse and a spirit, inspect the corpse of an adventurer named Perly.

His spirit appears to you, seeking your help in avenging his murder; it seems Nonton hamstrung Perly and left him to die at the claws of the bear!

New Objective: Confront Nonton

While exploring Valewood before killing the bear, you may encounter Nonton, close to the bridge in south of wilderness. He seems to be in a hurry and tells you a bear mauled his friend. Also in Gilded Vale before killing the bear, you may enter Ingroed’s House, where you’ll find Nonton and Ingroed making hurried arrangements to leave town.

Return to Ingroed’s house now that you have the knowledge that Nonton is responsible for his fellow hunter’s death, and confront him and Ingroed.

Through your conversation choices, you have four possible outcomes. You can:

  • Accept the bribe that Nonton and Ingroed offer you, and let them flee Gilded Vale.
  • Slay Nonton and Ingroed, and optionally return to the cave to tell Perly afterward.

Task #3: Against the Grain

  • Task Giver: Trumbel
  • Location: Windmill – Gilded Vale

To get this task, go to the Windmill and you you’re engaged in a war of words between a dwarf named Sweynur and the mill owner Trumbel (who has disappeared into mill). Sort out this dispute while you’re in town.

New Objective: Investigate the feud

Or you can:

  • Visit the Windmill and speak with Trumbel
  • OR visit the Black Hound Inn and talk to Sweynur

Now speak both of them, Trumbel and Sweynur, listen their stories and through your conversation choice on which you are.

New Objective: Resolve the feud between Trumbel and Sweynur

So you may have had to kill Trumbel, Sweynur, or neither of the two townsfolk. You will get these rewards.

Convince Sweynur to leave the miller alone and tell Trumbel about it.

  • Reward:20 cp, plus an additional 20 cp if you insist on the extra payment.
  • Reactivity Reputation+:An average Reputation boost within Gilded Vale.

Kill Sweynur and tell Trumbel that the dwarf is dead.

  • Reward:20 cp, plus a rather shocked miller.
  • Reactivity Reputation+:An average Reputation boost within Gilded Vale.

Convince Trumbel to deal more fairly with farmers and tell Sweynur about it.

Reward: 10 cp, plus a rather surprised dwarf.

Reactivity Discount: Better prices when trading with Hilde in the Black Hound Inn.

Kill Trumbel in Windmill and tell Sweynur that

Reactivity Reputation-: An average Reputation loss within Gilded Vale and higher prices when trading with Hilde in the Black Hound Inn
